Tomi Reichental, one of only three Holocaust survivors left in Ireland, will be giving a talk to students from five Louth Secondary Schools in the Barbican Centre, Drogheda on Wednesday November 20th at 11.00 am.
The students, from Greenhills, St. Mary’s Diocesan, Sacred Heart, De La Salle, Dundalk Grammar and Ardee Community School, will hear first-hand of Mr. Reichental’s experiences at the hands of the Nazis in the death camps of World War Two.
Barbican Manager Councillor Declan Power said, “We are delighted to welcome Tomi Reichental to the Barbican and to Drogheda. Tomi regularly gives talks around the country and internationally to ensure that the horrors of World War II are never forgotten and that the mistakes of the past are never repeated.”
“Anyone who has listened to his story could not but be moved by what he endured.”
