A series of concerts bringing music to communities of older people in County Louth during Bealtaine Festival 2016, programmed by CreateLouth, the Arts Service of Louth County Council.

The Musical Memories Ensemble, featuring Gráinne Hope, Cello, Julie Maisel, Flute, and Liam Merriman, Voice/Guitar, will bring a programme of popular classics and old-time favourites to The Barbican.
The programme will feature a toe-tapping set of hornpipes and classical favourites, including ‘Canon’ by Pachabell, a Strauss waltz or two with interludes of beautiful Irish airs including Inisheer, the Coolin and some O Carolan tunes. This will be book-ended with plenty of opportunities to sing along to ‘the Black Hills of Dakota’, ‘Mountains of Mourne’ and ‘Jamaica Farewell’ among others.
