Welcome to the Boyne Valley Trails September Walking Festival.
Presented by Community Historian Brendan Matthews, learn all about the adventures of Highwayman Michael Collier (Collier the Robber).
Michael Collier (1785 – 1849), was born near Julianstown and he was the last of the infamous “Stand-and-Deliver” Highway men of the 18th and 19th century holding up the Horse-Drawn Mail Coaches across the district of Louth, Meath and Fingal. Historian Brendan Matthews will Present the Life & Times & Demise of Michael, alias `Collier-the-Robber` and the his comrades & compatriots who often helped him in his daring escapades across the greater north-east region.
Doors open at 7.45pm and presentation begins at 8pm sharp. Presentation will last 50 minutes.
